Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) Leadership and Project Officers

The Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) funds Health Centers in communities, providing access to high quality, family oriented, comprehensive primary and preventive health care for people who are low-income, uninsured, or living where health care is scarce. Health centers provide care on a sliding fee scale and see patients without regard for their ability to pay.

Primary Care Associations (PCAs) / Primary Care Offices (PCOs)

State/Regional Primary Care Associations (PCAs) are private, non-profit organizations that provide training and technical assistance to health centers and other safety-net providers, support the development of health centers in their state, and enhance the operations and performance of health centers. This link provides a list of statewide/regional PCAs.

State Primary Care Offices (PCOs) assist in the coordination of local, State, territorial, and Federal resources that contribute to improving primary care service delivery and workforce availability in the State or territory to meet the needs of underserved populations. PCOs work with health centers, professional organizations, public and private entities; and other community-based providers of comprehensive primary care. This link provides a list of statewide PCOs.

Find a Health Center

This is a link to the HRSA Find a Health Center database. This database allows one to find out what health centers (Section 330 funded health centers only) are in a certain area. The user can search by specific address, state or county and receive either a text list or a map of all health centers that meet those search criteria. The UDS Mapper is based on annually reported data from these health centers.
